Think way outside the box...find a true retreat outside of the troubled U.S.A. Consider Panama. Consider voting with your feet with BIG strides. Panama offers unique solutions to your survival quest in an abundant, peaceful, tropical paradise.
Panama is a democratic nation of three million people, two million of which live in Panama City. The other million are spread across an area roughly the size of South Carolina. The interior provinces of Panama, in particular the province of Chiriqui, offer outstanding opportunities for preserving the security and quality of your life. It is our belief that Panama's interior will be uniquely able to weather catastrophic economic collapse for the following reasons:
Chriqui is the breadbasket of the nation. In the cooler mountain areas all kinds of vegetables are grown and the coffee produced here is world renowned. Lowland crops include rice, corn, sugarcane, bananas, citrus, pineapple, avocados and mangoes. Cattle and dairy farms (grass fed stock) are everywhere. The coastal waters are rich in fish--the word Panama means 'abundance of fish' and small local boats--simply outfitted-- provide fresh catches daily. Inland waters are rich in shellfish such as crabs, fresh water shrimp, clams, etc. Water, through wells and spring-fed streams is widely distributed. Hydro electric power supplies a majority (61% nation-wide, more in Chiriqui) of the region's power.
The people in this region are accustomed to a very modest standard of living and adaptable in the face of adversity. Most families have at minimum, some fruit trees, a few yucca and plantain plants, and the ever present yard chickens. Small truck vendors of various agricultural products are everywhere. If the lights go out and the grid goes down, the Panamanians are already half-way prepared because it is a way of life. It is for this reason we believe that civil unrest and widespread violent crime is of a lesser threat here than in urbanized areas unable to cope with the loss of modern conveniences. Violent crime is extremely rare here.
We have a community situated on an isolated, private peninsula consisting of 1200 acres with the Pacific on one side and a wide river on another. Acres of green space forested with native jungle as well as planted teak, African mahogany and pine are interspersed with pasture and homesites. Presently there are a dozen, very upscale homes built on beach front lots. Several homes and numerous lots are for sale. There is a fine equestrian center as well as a boat ramp and boat storage facility. A central facility with guest rooms, restaurant and swimming pool is near completion. The plantation is one-hour's drive from David, a small city of around 125,000 that serves as the commercial center of the region and boasts excellent medical facilites as well as an amazing selection of DYI centers and repair facilities for any and all equipment. It is located well off traveled roads--you have to know where it is to find it.
Originally conceived as a luxury gated community, the development is poised for becoming a self sufficient secure destination in the coming collapse. There is an ideal location for an airstrip and for a marina, should there be an interest. This is a place to live in relative comfort with excellent defenseability and well under the 'radar' of the coming socialist state in America. Given less than total collapse, Panama also offers one of the most private banking systems in the world, currently boasting a 58% liquidity rate!
In addition to this community, we have several small resort properties listed, some of which are completely off grid and located on Pacific and Caribbean islands as well as mountain properties. In Panama, you never need worry about freezing to death, it is a tropical paradise. In better days, was rated one of the best places in the world to retire or have a second home based on cost-of-living, a financially free system, political stability and the general friendliness of its people by such prestigious publications as "Modern Maturity", AARP and "International Living".
Talk to us about Panama. We have helped dozens of people, like you, move here and can assist you in all sorts of ways. We know how to move your goods, your car, your boat, your equipment and your family to the place we already call home.
