We are located in one of the four "Redoubt" states that Jim Rawles has been recommending for relocation. The South fork is one of the best Steelhead fishing rivers in the state and one of the best steelhead fishing holes is located behind this home. The town of Stites is located in Idaho County, the third largest county in the U.S. There is only one stop light in our county; you have to drive about twenty miles to see it. Our county is a great area for hunting, fishing, four wheelers, snowmobiles etc.
We have our own small grocery store, two churches, welder service, small engine and auto repair; saw sharpening service, a post office, a volunteer fire department and a family owned hardware store all within walking distance.
This is a great place for children! The public schools are less than three miles away. If you prefer to home school you will be in great company with many families in the area who home school their children.
We feel a responsibility to our neighbors and friends as to who moves here. We prefer like minded people to buy our home. There are many more advantages to living in this small town then space permits. Time to get out of dodge.
