Off grid properties for year round sustainable living, week end retreats or seasonal recreation activities.
The Missouri River Corridor is situated between Helena and Great Falls, Montana. The 'Corridor' is shared with the BNSF Railway, Old US Hwy 91 and Interstate 15. The small communities of Wolf Creek, Craig and a larger town named Cascade are included in the 'Corridor' along with several hundred parcels of land located in the mountains and foothills that flank the 'Corridor.' There are also a number of large ranch holdings as well as hundreds of acres of public land surrounding the 'Corridor.'
The 'Mighty Mo' is famous for the 'blue ribbon' trout fishing that can be experienced from Holter Dam to Cascade. There are thousands of tourists that visit the 'Corridor' each year to 'live the dream' fishing on the river and also on Holter Lake, a 26 mile long lake that was created when Holter Dam was built between 1908 and 1918.
I have specialized buying and selling rural properties in the 'Corridor' for 12 years. My office is located in Craig, Montana looking out over the famous 'Mighty Mo'. Most properties that come available for sale are between 10 and 20 acres in size, making them affordable for those that wish to develop a sustainable lifestyle. Generally speaking, the properties that are located a mile or more off the paved roads do not have conventional electricity available so alternative energy sources must be considered.
