Set on an acre, this riverfront home has plenty of room in a scenic mountain location. There have been numerous amenities added for convenience as one ages.
The house is roughly 2000 square feet with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The three upstairs bedrooms are quite large. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and private bathroom. Also upstairs is a large landing room that could be used as an office space or TV/game area, etc. The forth bedroom is downstairs and is smaller than the upstairs bedrooms. The living room is large, has built in TV shelving and is wired for surround-sound. There is a reading nook off the living room near the stairs which have custom metal railing. The main bathroom is large and features a clawfoot tub. The kitchen and dining area are open and have French doors extending out to the back patio. There is a utility room which has a work area with farm sink and drainboard. This is where the washer/dryer hook-ups are, and it is large enough to add a laundry-folding table or additional shelves for storage. The house is heated with wood and/or electric.  The house is wired so that if there is a power outage, with a flip of a switch it can be powered by a generator.
The shop is about 2500 square feet and has another bathroom and a sauna. There are two regular garage doors for daily parking and a large end door for larger vehicles or RV access. There is a high shelf along the front of the shop as well as space above the bathroom/sauna for additional storage. The shop has both an oil furnace and a wood stove. Off the back of the shop are equipment/storage bays that are 12 feet deep and run the length of the shop. (Ex. this is where we stacked our wood and parked the tractor.) Behind the shop and bays is additional parking space. The front of the shop has both 110 and 220 electric for RV hookup.
The land is .99 of an acre of riverfront property along the Umatilla River. There is a large locust log pergola with power near the river for entertaining or just sitting and relaxing. The largest area of lawn has underground sprinklers that do not have to be blown out in the fall. They were installed with a low pressure drain-out. Directly behind the house is a courtyard style garden as well as a sitting area. (This is where we had our patio set.)
The property hosts a variety of established fruits:
Small varieties~ strawberries, grapes, black berries, rhubarb, herbs etc.
Large varieties~ 4 kinds of apples, 2 pear, multiple plum, service berry.
In addition, there are numerous flowering plants including lilacs, crepe myrtle, mock orange, hydrangea, honeysuckle, clematis, wisteria, to name a few.
One other feature is a small playhouse that has been converted to a chicken coop. It is about 12’x12′.
Wildlife is abundant in the area. It is not uncommon to see deer or quail in the yard, elk on the side of the mountain, watch salmon head to their spawning grounds or hear a heron in the river. Every season is beautiful.
We have not used chemical sprays on the property (in case that is a concern you have.)

*The pictures are incomplete since we are still in the process of moving. (I hope that is understandable.) As we empty and clear out the rooms, I will photo them and update the post. I will also get specific measurements of the house and shop and update that information. If I have forgotten anything or if you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us.
